Sally’s Story..

goat
Hello World.. Meet Sally 🐐
And this is her story..
Im a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, and sometimes I can just question the severity of the happenings.
Sally, literally waited for death to come knocking.. I dont know if she was dumped, or got off from a moving vehicle, but she was literally laying in the middle of nowhere. No other goats in the area, nor any houses or people..
Tuesday night on our way back from a delivery, we had an unfortunate accident with a pedestrian. Thankfully me and my guys didn’t sustain any injuries, but sadly the pedestrian were injuried, and our bakkie has some damadge..
It was pitch dark, no street lights, so all one could see was the lights of the speeding cars and trucks.
While we were waiting for the police to arrive at the accident scene for close to two overs, which they never did, I spoke to a friend in the police that advised that I can leave the accident scene, and I should just report the accident this morning, which I did, and was out at the police station early this morning to report the accident.. Myself and the detectives had to go out to the scene of the accident to do a sketch and I can explain what has transpired..
While the police were doing the measurements, I saw Sally laying in the veld..As I approached her, she didnt move, and even, me trying to move her, she didnt move. She is extremely underweight, so I guess she has been there for a few days. The few pieces of green grass that was where she was laying, has been eaten..
After I explained to the police that I was from No More Tears Animal Rescue NPC 2021/424969/08 – Randfontein that said I can take the goat.
There was no way I could load her on the back, so I loaded her in the front of the bakkie, and off we went to Randfontein Dierehospitaal – Veearts Dr Naude
Dr Naude also noticed that she was underweight, and afer a quick check, it seems that she hasnt have any breaks.
A few injections, Sally was put outside in the court yard on the green grass, and it was extremely heartbreaking to see her vigorously eating the green grass, and drinking the water..
If I didnt go out, Sally would have most probably died a slow death..
If she has a owner, positve proof of ownership will be compulsory!!
Should you wish to make a donation towards her care at the vet, it will be hugely appreciated..
Donations can be paid directly to the vet..
